Our Team

Our staff is a group of kind, passionate, intelligent, talented, and fun individuals that really do enjoy spending time together when they are both in and out of the clinic. Here are a few pictures from recent team events around Indy. Get to know more about each member of the MAAC team below!

Dr. Kurt Phillips

Owner and Veterinarian

Professional and Personal
Dr. Phillips has a special interest in canine reproduction and English Bulldogs. He is a married father of two. His family includes Jenner, a Vizsla and two cats, Lizzie and Spraguey.

When he is not working with animals and running his new record store, Square Cat Vinyl, Dr. Phillips loves to see live music and entertain guests in his home.

Dr. Jennifer Glore

Owner and Veterinarian

Professional and Personal
Dr. Glore takes a special interest in cat health, ophthalmology, and dermatology. Her animal friends include Otis, a Doodleman Pinscher and a cat, Penelope.

In her free time, Dr. Glore likes to travel, play golf and ride in the Trader’s Point Hunt Club.

Dr. Nicole VanDeLeest

Dr. VanDeLeest has a special interest in feline medicine, surgery, and improving her ultrasound knowledge and use. She is married to Dr. Bill Hoffmeyer, who is a veterinarian as well,
and they share their home with a yellow Labrador named Rosie, a Redbone Coonhound mix named Annie, and their beloved orange cat, Elby.

In her free time, Dr. VanDeLeest enjoys baking, traveling, trivia night with friends, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, and exploring downtown Indy.

Dr. Jessica Squires

Professional and Personal
Dr. Squires has a special interest in oncology, internal medicine, and client education. She shares her home with her English Labrador, Finch, and grey tabby, Ford. When she’s not at work, Dr.Squires enjoys checking out new restaurants in Indianapolis, spending time with family and friends, attending Pacers games, and watching IndyCar races.

Stephanie Baer

Operations Manager

Professional and Personal
Stephanie worked in the Criminal Justice field for over 20 years. Her jobs ranged from offering home based services, working in detention centers, being a probation officer, and running a medical records department for a treatment center. She decided to make a career change in order to pursue her love of animals and has been working for Dr. Kurt Phillips since 2012.

Stephanie and her husband, Will, share their home with their family of four cats: Gandalf the White, Dot, Nurgle J. Moose, and Pippen F. Took. They also have their beloved Great Dane, Jett, a rambunctious Beagle, Remi, and a Bichon named Buddy.

In Stephanie’s free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, training in martial arts, reading and playing the piano.

Ken Clarke

Ken moved to Indy in August of 2011, from Bloomington, IN, where he started his veterinary medicine career. He has two dogs: Augi, a French Bulldog, and Brooklin, a Boxer mix. He is interested in all things fitness and health.

Nicki Grider

Nicki comes to our clinic with over 16 years of veterinary experience. She has worked in a variety of positions and is very excited to be back in the veterinary industry.

Nicki lives in Beech Grove with her husband, Barney, daughter, Poppy, four dogs and two cats – it’s a full house! In her spare time, Nicki enjoys reading, watching Netflix, and playing and writing music.

Beth Wood

Lead Customer Service Representative

Beth has worked in veterinary medicine for over 15 years. She is very excited to join a practice downtown, where she lives with her husband Mike, her Yorkie Ike, her cat, DeeDee, and her four chickens.

Beth is an avid cyclist. In her free time, enjoys cycling close to home along the Cultural Trail.

Caroline Booth

Caroline has been working in veterinary medicine for nearly 5 years. Previously a server, she enjoys client interaction almost as much as caring for their pets. She lives downtown with her husband and her rescue pup Earl, and their two cats Stella and Marley. In her free time, she enjoys live music, finding new restaurants and drinking red wine out of a box.

Spenser’s well-rounded career path has led him to join the animal health field! He’s excited and eager to learn more about veterinary medicine and provide excellent customer service to our clients. In his free time, Spenser enjoys reading, writing, gaming, and diving into the latest science fiction craze. 

Susan Friday

Nearing two decades working in her passion of veterinary medicine, Susan’s focus has been customer service and hospital operations. She is excited to be part of the team at City Way Animal Clinics and is looking forward to working in the downtown area! She’s had a variety of pets since her young teenage years and currently has one dog, Hattie, a Pitt mix she and her husband rescued in January 2018. She also has a grand-dog, Emma, who is a German Shepard. Susan is married to John and they have two sons, Trevor and Logan. She enjoys reading, sewing, working in the yard, and spending time with family and friends.

Jordan Hyden

Jordan has been in the pet world for a couple years now. She graduated from Harrison College of Veterinary Technology and is currently working as an RVT.

Client education is what she loves most about her job. Knowing that she can help an owner properly care for their animal gives her a piece of mind. She lives in north Indy with her husband, John Paul, and their dogs, Berkley and Beans, and cats, Shrimp and Scampi. When she is not working, Jordan loves to be around friends and family.

Becca Fadale

Becca has a special interest in neurology, specifically spinal injuries. She also has an interest in physical rehabilitation. She currently lives in the Broad Ripple area with her dog, Moose, a rescue lab mix. When she’s not working, she loves hanging out with friends and family and going camping.

Ami Sutherlin

Ami’s passion for animals started at a young age on her parent’s farm. There she cared for most of the animals on a daily basis. Her love for animals grew when she started Veterinary Assisting classes in high school, which led into Veterinary Technology in college. She has two adorable cats named Idgie and Theodore, and a horse named Tater.

In Ami’s free time, she enjoys board games with with her family and friends, riding her horse, and reading.

Jessica Wolfe

Jessica has been working in the veterinary field since 2010. After recently moving here from New Jersey, she wanted to continue her passion for pets. She resides in Fountain Square with her sister. Together they have a Maine Coon cat, Hailey, two Tortoises, Six and Sweat Pea, and a rescue rat, Cream.

When not at the clinic, Jessica enjoys reading, music, photography, and exploring downtown Indy.

Brandon Jones

Brandon has over 6 years of pet care experience and has always had a strong passion for animals and their well-being. He joined our team as a vet assistant and plans to become a Registered Veterinary Technician to further his expertise in veterinary medicine and animal care.

Brandon’s animal family includes three cats, a turtle, a bearded dragon, fish and a community colony of four cats. Before moving to Indy, Brandon grew up on a farm in Southern Indiana.

Rylee Hubbard

Rylee has been working in the veterinary field since May 2016. Although she is relatively new to the industry, she is learning quickly and hopes to better her skills to help provide excellent care to every pet!

She shares her home in Irvington with a variety of fur (and not so furry) babies. She has a Pitbull, Jack; a cute mutt, Lottie; a feisty cat named Chicken; and Kilo, a lovely lizard. When she’s not working, Rylee likes to spend her time cooking, reading, hiking with her dogs, and traveling as often as she can!

Lauren Scott

Lauren is so happy to join the Mass Ave Animal Clinic team after working at another clinic for the past year. She has always had a passion for animals and even as a child wanted to work in the veterinary field. Lauren graduated in 2014 and has been eager to further her training and education to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

She loves living in Indianapolis with her sister, brother in-law, niece, and nephew, as well as their dog and three cats. In her free time she enjoys attending concerts and music festivals and spending time with friends and family.

Maria Stanfield

Maria started in veterinary medicine in high school as kennel staff and has now worked for 10 years as a Veterinary Assistant. She has a special interest in behavior and enjoys learning as much as she can about why animals do what they do. She lives with her husband, six cats, and a dog. In her free time, Maria enjoys reading, drawing, online gaming, yoga, and hiking.

Sara Sallee

Originally born in Indiana, Sara moved to New York for a while and missed the Hoosier state so much, she moved back 4 years ago. Currently a student at Harrison College studying medical billing and coding, she plans to further her veterinary education to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

When she’s not working or studying she loves hiking in the woods and shopping. Sara shares her home with two dogs, a Mastiff mix and Yorkie mix, and a cat.

Emily Lemke

Emily doesn’t remember a time she wasn’t taking care of animals. Always having household pets, as well as being a foster home and pet sitter for many years, she always knew she loved creatures of the fuzzy variety. She began working with dogs professionally in 2016 at a local doggie daycare, and came to City Way Animal Clinics looking to learn more and pursue her growing interest in animal care.

When Emily isn’t hustling at the clinic, she’s managing her own photography business or taking art classes. In her free time, she loves to cuddle with her cats, travel, work on home projects, and mosey around Indy. Emily and her husband Richard are the loving owners of Arlo, their border collie flat-coated retriever mix, and their two black cats, Erevis and Drizzt.

Rachel Woolf

At the age of 17, Rachel moved to Florida and began a career in harness racing after many summers working on farms with her family in Chicago. She has worked on several large farms and training facilities in PA, NY, and NJ working with some of the leading horse trainers in the U.S. as a Farm Manager and Assistant Trainer. In 2015, she returned to Indiana to be with her family and pets.

Rachel recently moved to Indianapolis with her boyfriend to begin a new chapter of her life. She shares her home with a black lab named Baxter, Vada, a husky mix and Felix, the cat her family has had since she was in 8th grade. When she’s not working at our clinic, she does some part-time serving and promotional modeling for convention center events. She enjoys spending her free time with her loved ones.
