Dr. Tara Patrick
A little about myself: I formed my roots in the Southside of Chicago, where I did all my early schooling — from pre-K through undergrad — all on the same block. After outgrowing that space, I branched out to humble Indiana in order to attend Veterinary school at Purdue. I made many connections in Indianapolis, in particular, and I was missing being so close to the city so it was a no-brainer to make Indianapolis my home after I graduated. I have been in general practice for a little over 5 years now. This time has fostered a passion for preventative medicine and dentistry, as well as dermatology — though I enjoy all ranges of veterinary medicine. I am passionate about proactively involving pet parents in their pet’s care and giving them the tools and support they need to help their pets thrive. Outside of work, you’re likely to catch me hiking with one or both of my dogs at Turkey Run or dancing with Naptown Stomp at McGowan Hall. I also have an axolotl who is the homebody of our house.
